New Delhi: Savills Plc has completed its acquisition of Eastdil Secured LLC for an enterprise value of $1,112.5 million (c.£827 million), bringing the global real estate advisory firm and the real estate investment bank under a combined platform.
The completion follows Savills’ announcement on 12 March 2026 regarding the proposed acquisition. The transaction is expected to expand Savills’ real estate investment banking capabilities, particularly in North America, while strengthening its presence across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
The combined business will bring together complementary service lines and geographic networks, creating a broader platform covering key real estate sectors and markets. The transaction also forms part of Savills’ strategy to scale its presence in North America while consolidating its position in EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Savills funded the transaction through loan finance and the issuance of new ordinary shares, representing approximately 16% of the Group’s enlarged share capital, to the ultimate holders of equity interests in Eastdil Secured. The shareholders receiving shares include Guggenheim, Temasek and Wells Fargo, along with Eastdil Secured’s leadership team and senior employees.
Eastdil Secured will now operate under the name “Eastdil Secured Savills” and will continue its existing business model within the Savills Group as its Real Estate Investment Bank.
The business will provide advice across mergers and acquisitions, continuation vehicles and joint ventures, sales, debt placement, structured credit and loan sales to investors globally. The combined group will become the number two advisory firm globally for prime commercial real estate transactions above $100 million.
The leadership structure announced on 12 March 2026 remains in place. Roy H. March will serve as Executive Chairman, with responsibility for client advisory and execution, while D. Michael Van Konynenburg will serve as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing day-to-day operations, strategy and key client advisory. James McCaffrey will serve as President and lead international growth from London.
Michael Van Konynenburg and James McCaffrey will also join the Savills Group Executive Board.
Eastdil Secured Savills will retain key headquarters in New York, Santa Monica and London. Its 21 existing offices will become part of the Savills network, which spans more than 70 countries.
