Mumbai: Triguna Projects and Megha Landmark Estates have recognised the work of the Karnataka Forest Department’s personnel engaged in wildlife conservation and afforestation by distributing 260 T-shirts and jackets to forest staff serving in and around Bannerghatta National Park.
The initiative was undertaken as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity to acknowledge frontline forest personnel working in challenging field conditions to protect wildlife, prevent poaching and support afforestation efforts across the state.

The distribution was held near Bannerghatta National Park in the presence of senior Karnataka Forest Department officials. Smt. Kajol Ajith Patil, Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) at Bannerghatta National Park in Bengaluru, attended the event. She was accompanied by Shri Ravi Kumar T M, Additional Conservator of Forests (ACF), Shri Antony Rego, Range Forest Officer for the Kodihalli range, and Shri Sridhar S, Range Forest Officer for the Muggaru range.
The clothing and outdoor gear were handed over to officers and field personnel involved in forest patrols, anti-poaching operations, responses to human-wildlife conflict and afforestation activities. The initiative recognised the nature of their work, which frequently involves operating in remote and physically demanding terrain throughout the year.
Raghunath Reddy Bhattagiri, MD and Founder, Triguna Projects, said: “The forest department’s teams work quietly in some of the toughest field conditions to protect our wildlife and green cover. This is a small gesture from Triguna Projects to acknowledge that effort.”
Balaji Prabhu, Director at Megha Landmark Estates, said: “Conservation is a shared responsibility and the forest department carries the bulk of that burden on the ground. We wanted to stand with them in a small but meaningful way.”
Officials from the Karnataka Forest Department welcomed the initiative as a gesture of appreciation for the continued work of its personnel in protecting forest reserves and biodiversity. The contribution also provides a way for corporate organisations to recognise conservation teams while maintaining a clear distinction from the department’s operational responsibilities.
The CSR activity also connects with the companies’ presence in the region through their jointly developed project, Country Homes-Harohalli, Life Amidst Wilderness. The 65-acre gated farmland project is located close to Bannerghatta National Park and is surrounded by forest and greenery on three sides. The development will also include an upcoming five-star resort within the community.

The companies said the initiative reflects their broader association with the landscape surrounding the project. With infrastructure and connectivity in the region continuing to develop, the CSR engagement with the Karnataka Forest Department is positioned by the companies as an extension of their stated commitment to the preservation of the natural environment around the project.
