Mumbai: JLL Business Services (JBS), the integrated operations delivery platform of JLL, has formally inaugurated a 120,000 sq. ft. Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, strengthening the company’s operations footprint in one of India’s fastest-growing GCC markets.
The facility, located in the Prestige Sky Tech building in Hyderabad’s Financial District, was inaugurated by Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, who attended the event as Chief Guest.
“For years, JLL has been the compass guiding global companies towards the right investment destinations. Today, that compass points to Hyderabad, and for good reason. In the last 20 months, Telangana has welcomed nearly 150 Global Capability Centres, creating over 1.5 lakh high-value technology jobs. At a time when AI, automation and global restructuring are reshaping the technology industry, our GCC strategy is designed to future-proof employment by creating the jobs of tomorrow. While technology companies across the world are restructuring and consolidating their traditional IT operations, Hyderabad continues to demonstrate that innovation-led GCCs are a powerful engine for investment, resilience and high-value job creation,” the Minister said.

JBS expands its India operations
The new centre occupies two floors and represents JBS’s second hub in India after Gurugram. The facility is expected to expand to 1,600 employees over the next two years.
Matthew Rees, Chief Shared Service Centre Officer, JLL Business Services, said Hyderabad was selected as part of a deliberate strategy focused on talent, processes and location.
“Our choice of Hyderabad was strategic and deliberate,” said Matthew Rees, Chief Shared Service Centre Officer, JLL Business Services. “With operations spanning six countries and a workforce of over 6500, JBS has evolved into JLL’s strategic operations powerhouse. Optimizing talent, process, and location, is fundamental to JLL’s Accelerate 2030 strategy. By establishing our GCC in one of India’s deepest talent markets, we are integrating exceptional people with standardized processes and AI-enabled workflows. This powers our commitments under the global strategy and strengthens the services we deliver to clients worldwide,” he added.
JBS operates as JLL’s integrated capability centre, providing a range of mission-critical functions across finance, HR, project management, lease administration and business process optimization. Its operations also encompass advanced analytics, technology-enabled solutions and advisory capabilities.
With operations across six countries, JBS has developed into a central operations platform for JLL, supporting the company’s global business through analytics, advisory services and technology-enabled processes.
Hyderabad strengthens its position as a GCC hub
Dheeraj Popli, Head, Global Service Centre, India, JLL Business Services, said Hyderabad’s combination of talent, specialised sectors and an established innovation ecosystem was central to the company’s decision.
“Hyderabad offers something truly distinctive: access to India’s exceptional STEM talent pool with over 2.5 million graduates entering the market annually, leadership in specialized high-value sectors from financial services to healthcare-biotech and semiconductors, and an innovation ecosystem synonymous with global capability excellence. Our office facility here is a strategic investment in a city redefining what global operations can achieve, providing JLL with the calibre of talent needed to deliver the sophisticated analytics and strategic advisory services that power our competitive advantage globally,” said Dheeraj Popli, Head, Global Service Centre, India, JLL Business Services.
The expansion comes as Hyderabad continues to strengthen its position in India’s GCC landscape, supported by its talent pool, infrastructure and business ecosystem.
The city accounted for 16% of India’s total GCC leasing activity between 2024 and mid-2026. GCCs also represented 42% of all office leasing activity in Hyderabad during the period, highlighting their growing role in the city’s commercial real estate market.
Financial services and insurance companies accounted for 34.5% of GCC activity, making them the largest contributor. Technology companies followed with 23.2%, while healthcare and biotech accounted for 17% and engineering R&D operations represented 12.1%.
The composition of GCC activity reflects Hyderabad’s broader transition from an IT-focused market towards a more diversified global business and innovation destination. The city has emerged as India’s leading destination for healthcare-biotech and semiconductor GCC establishments, supported by government policies, business infrastructure and a real estate development pipeline capable of catering to sustained demand from high-value and innovation-led operations.
Workplace designed around technology, culture and wellness
The new JBS facility incorporates a “Layers of Hyderabad” design concept that draws on the city’s history, culture and technological development.
The workplace is organised around four culturally inspired thematic wings—Architecture, Landscape, Crafts and Cityscape. These themes are represented through curated wall graphics, framed artworks, 3D installations and customised acoustic panels that reinterpret traditional elements associated with Hyderabad.
Employee wellness and inclusivity have also been incorporated into the workplace design. The facility includes barrier-free single-level flooring, wheelchair-accessible desks, 25% height-adjustable workstations, dedicated wellness and medical rooms, and 80% natural light penetration supported by biophilic elements.
