TransIndia Meridian Crosses Rs 200 Crore Sales Milestone in Mumbai

Mumbai: TransIndia Group has recorded sales of more than Rs 200 crore at TransIndia Meridian, its flagship residential project in Mumbai’s Sion–Matunga corridor. More than 125 residences have been sold at the development, with end-user demand accounting for a significant share of the sales.

The sales performance points to continued demand for established Mumbai neighbourhoods, particularly among buyers prioritising connectivity, social infrastructure and long-term value. At TransIndia Meridian, the strongest demand has been for two-bedroom residences, with salaried professionals and families forming a key buyer segment.

A substantial share of purchasers live within a three to four-kilometre radius of the project, indicating a preference among local homebuyers to upgrade within familiar neighbourhoods instead of moving to newer peripheral locations. The Sion–Matunga corridor is also attracting professionals employed by leading multinational companies in BKC, where proximity to workplaces and shorter commuting times are emerging as important considerations.

The buyer profile reflects a broader preference for established communities where access to workplaces, families, social networks and everyday amenities can be combined with residential upgrades. For homebuyers considering Central Mumbai, neighbourhood quality and connectivity remain key factors alongside the specifications of individual residential projects.

Located in the Sion–Matunga corridor, TransIndia Meridian is positioned within one of Central Mumbai’s established residential micro-markets. The surrounding area is known for its educational institutions, healthcare facilities, cultural heritage and established community ecosystem, while offering connectivity to South Mumbai, BKC, Lower Parel, the western suburbs and Navi Mumbai.

Infrastructure upgrades and redevelopment activity across the corridor have further supported the location’s appeal among prospective buyers seeking convenience and long-term value.

The development spans approximately 23 lakh sq ft and is planned across six residential towers, comprising two and three-bedroom residences. The project includes landscaped open spaces, 90 + modern lifestyle amenities, multi-level parking, premium retail frontage and Vastu-compliant layouts.

According to Rajendra M. Rajan, Founder, TransIndia Group, the sales milestone reflects the response to the project’s location and its positioning around end-user requirements.

“The Rs 200 crore sales achievement is a significant milestone for TransIndia Meridian as it strongly validates the Group’s vision for the project. What is particularly encouraging is that the response has been overwhelmingly driven by end-users, especially salaried professionals who value the convenience of remaining close to their workplaces, families and social networks. Today’s homebuyers are placing increasing importance on neighbourhood quality, connectivity and long-term livability, and we believe the Sion–Matunga micro market offers a compelling combination of all three. The strong response to TransIndia Meridian indicates that well-designed residential communities in established locations will continue to command sustained demand.”

Construction is also progressing at the project, with excavation work for Tower 1 already underway. Following the response to the first phase, TransIndia is working towards launching Tower 2 in the near future, adding to the development’s planned residential inventory.

The performance of TransIndia Meridian highlights the continued relevance of established urban locations for Mumbai homebuyers. The project combines two and three-bedroom residences with lifestyle amenities, landscaped spaces and connectivity to key employment and social hubs, while its sales response has been driven substantially by buyers seeking to remain within familiar neighbourhoods.
