Flent, a proptech startup, has raised ₹6.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by WEH Ventures, with participation from US-based 2 AM Ventures and Pareto Holdings. Saxena (former GM of Airbnb), Aneesh Reddy (founder of Capillary Technologies), Arjun Vaidya (founder of Dr. Vaidya’s), Shradha Sharma (founder of YourStory), and Abhilash N. (co-founder of Ivy Homes) also contributed to the round.

The startup, founded by Shail Daswani, Mayank Lalwani, and Rishabh Agnihotri, aims to transform the rental experience in India through its innovative platform. Flent is positioned as India’s first on-demand full-stack rental platform, offering a seamless renting experience tailored to modern working professionals. The platform promises to make renting 10 times faster and easier by addressing common pain points like outdated homes, hefty deposits, and rigid rental terms.

Tenants using Flent can register, specify their preferences, and pay a refundable booking fee. The platform delivers a fully furnished, designer home within 15 days, without brokerage fees and with low deposit requirements. If the tenant is satisfied, they can move in immediately; if not, they receive a full refund.

For homeowners, Flent provides end-to-end services, turning properties into turnkey rentals by managing everything from procurement to furnishing. This approach ensures both proprietors and renters have a hassle-free experience.

Commenting on the initiative, Shail Daswani, Co-Founder and CEO of Flent, said, “People compromise on so many things when it comes to renting—settling for outdated & unfurnished homes, hefty deposits, subpar brokers, and one-sided terms. We believe that in today’s world, compromise isn’t an option, especially for the new generation. At Flent, we’re making renting as simple as booking an Uber.”

With the fresh funding, Flent plans to expand its core team and further develop its platform, setting new standards for urban renting in India.
