Mumbai: Window Magic has been associated with the redevelopment of the historic Bombay Development Department (BDD) Chawls in Worli, Mumbai, a large-scale urban renewal initiative being executed by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).
The redevelopment project involves transforming the century-old BDD Chawls, originally built in the 1920s, into 33 residential towers of up to 40 floors each. The project is expected to create 8,976 modern residential units in Mumbai’s Worli area.

As part of the redevelopment, Window Magic is supplying and installing 61,875 aluminium window units across all residential towers. The aluminium fenestration systems are intended to support durability, energy efficiency, and modern architectural requirements in large-scale urban housing projects.
According to project details, the redevelopment is being implemented in phases. Phase 1 includes eight towers and is expected to be completed by May or June 2026. Phase 2 includes 25 towers and has a tentative completion timeline of April 2030.
The project is being undertaken under the supervision of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).

The redevelopment project is aimed at improving infrastructure, safety, and housing conditions for residents while modernising one of Mumbai’s historic residential settlements.
Window Magic stated that the company has previously worked on residential, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects across India, providing uPVC and aluminium fenestration systems for various developments.
