Loom Solar Hits 1 Lakh Users, Joins PM Surya Ghar

Mumbai: Loom Solar has crossed a significant milestone of 1 lakh customer installations while securing pan-India empanelment under the Government of India’s flagship PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, reinforcing its position in India’s fast-evolving solar energy landscape.

The development marks a strategic leap for the company, enabling direct participation in the national rooftop solar subsidy ecosystem. With vendor registration across all states via the official government portal, Loom Solar can now provide homeowners with seamless access to ALMM-compliant rooftop solar systems along with government-backed financial incentives.

Founded in 2018, the company has transitioned from a niche rooftop solar startup into a full-stack solar solutions provider. Its customer base now spans residential households, MSMEs, commercial enterprises, and agricultural users, with a growing footprint across both urban centers and underserved rural regions.

Industry observers note that Loom Solar’s expansion aligns with India’s broader push toward decentralized energy infrastructure. Increasing adoption in areas with unreliable grid supply underscores the role of distributed solar solutions in strengthening energy security.

The company’s integrated portfolio includes high-efficiency solar modules rated up to 750W, domestically manufactured on-grid and hybrid inverters ranging between 3 kW and 50 kW, and lithium-based battery storage systems. These offerings are designed to improve energy efficiency, enable storage-backed reliability, and optimize long-term cost savings for consumers.

Commenting on the milestone, Amod Anand, Co-Founder and Director, stated that the company’s growth reflects rising trust in indigenous solar innovation. He added that integration with the PM Surya Ghar platform simplifies adoption by combining system purchase, installation, and subsidy access into a single streamlined process.

Looking ahead, Loom Solar is investing in capacity expansion through a planned 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility, expected to be operational by FY27. The company remains bootstrapped and profitable, operating multiple manufacturing units and warehouses supported by a nationwide reseller network.
