Mumbai: Mayfair Housing has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with Autodesk, the global design & make platform company, to deploy Autodesk Forma as part of its broader digital transformation strategy. The initiative is aimed at creating a more connected and technology-enabled ecosystem for planning and executing projects across the company’s development and redevelopment portfolio.
The partnership will see Mayfair Housing implement Autodesk Forma, an AI-enabled, cloud-based platform designed to support architects, planners and developers during the early stages of project planning and design. The platform brings together real-world data, environmental simulations and collaborative workflows to enable faster and more informed decisions before projects progress to detailed design and construction.
The adoption of Autodesk Forma is expected to strengthen Mayfair Housing’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow by bringing greater collaboration, planning efficiency and data-driven decision-making into the initial stages of project development. The AI-powered, cloud-based platform will support the creation and management of project information across the design and development lifecycle while integrating with downstream BIM processes.
MicroGenesis will act as the implementation and technology partner for the initiative. Its responsibilities will include platform deployment, process mapping, training and change management, with the objective of supporting adoption across the organisation.

Autodesk Forma to Support Early-Stage Project Planning
As part of the deployment, Mayfair Housing’s project teams will be able to assess different development scenarios, develop site planning and massing concepts, and evaluate environmental factors at the early stages of a project.
These parameters include sunlight, daylight, wind, noise and embodied carbon. By using simulations during the initial planning process, project teams can assess design alternatives earlier, potentially enabling more informed decisions while improving efficiency and limiting changes at later stages of the design process.
The approach reflects a broader shift in the real estate sector towards the use of digital tools and data-driven workflows to address the increasing complexity of development projects.
Cloud Collaboration to Connect Project Stakeholders
Autodesk Forma’s cloud-based environment will also provide multiple stakeholders with access to shared project information, design concepts and planning data in real time.
The common digital workspace is expected to improve coordination among architects, consultants, engineering teams and project leadership. By bringing project information into a shared environment, Mayfair Housing aims to facilitate faster reviews, greater transparency and more efficient decision-making throughout the planning and development process.
Autodesk Forma will also integrate with Autodesk’s wider ecosystem, including Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud. This will enable a connected workflow spanning the initial concept and planning stages through detailed design and project execution.
