New Delhi: Reliance MET City is emerging as a major anchor in the western growth corridor of Greater Gurugram, backed by multiple infrastructure projects, operational township facilities, and long-running community initiatives across Jhajjar district.

The development sits along the Wazirpur–Farrukhnagar–Jhajjar belt, an emerging corridor linked to NCR’s next phase of expansion. According to the information shared by the company, five major connectivity projects are currently under execution around the township.

These include the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC), the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal, the six-lane NHAI road stretch connecting Pataudi Road to Jhajjar, the Gurugram–Farrukhnagar road widening project, and the doubling and extension of the Garhi Harsaru–Farrukhnagar rail line into Jhajjar.

The combined infrastructure network is expected to improve freight movement, passenger connectivity, and regional accessibility across the western NCR belt.

Alongside external connectivity, Reliance MET City has operational township-level infrastructure including a multi-speciality hospital, banking services, postal facilities, and civic utilities. A high school is under construction, while land has also been allotted for a new police station.

The township is additionally working on ESI and Aarogya partnerships aimed at expanding healthcare access for workers and nearby communities. Planned facilities include a hotel, club and lifestyle infrastructure, and a temple.

The project also highlights long-term community engagement in villages surrounding the township. Since 2008, Reliance MET City and Reliance Foundation have been running programmes focused on healthcare, education, livelihoods, and rural infrastructure across MET villages in Jhajjar district.

According to the details shared, the Mobile Medical Unit has reached more than 5 lakh patients through primary healthcare services. The Aarogya Clinic at Dadri Toye, developed with the Jubilant Bhartiya Foundation, has served over 8,187 beneficiaries.

Specialised health camps related to eye care, dental treatment, and gynaecology have together served more than 27,000 people, including over 1,000 cataract surgeries supported through referrals.

In education, STEM laboratories in five government schools currently reach 1,606 students, while the Jawahar Navodaya preparation initiative has helped 164 students clear entrance examinations since 2019.

The township’s livelihood initiatives have also trained and placed more than 480 youth in jobs. Women’s Empowerment Centres operating since 2013 have trained over 1,500 women in tailoring and beauty culture, with several beneficiaries starting independent businesses.

Mission Sahyog, another outreach initiative, has helped more than 5,000 villagers access welfare schemes including pensions, ration cards, and Ayushman Bharat services.

Industry observers note that earlier growth cycles in Gurugram were driven by infrastructure-led expansion corridors. With ongoing connectivity projects, operational civic infrastructure, and sustained community engagement, Jhajjar is increasingly being viewed as part of NCR’s next near-term growth region.
