Mumbai: The Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge, and PropEquity (P E Analytics Ltd) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening real estate education, research, and industry engagement in India. The collaboration marks a significant step toward the planned creation of India’s first dedicated Real Estate School, supported by global academic expertise.
Under the partnership, P E Analytics Ltd, the parent company of PropEquity, will develop a comprehensive real estate education programme with technical assistance and curriculum support from the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. The initiative is designed to build advanced skills, professional capability, and academic depth across the Indian real estate sector.
Beyond education, the collaboration will also focus on cutting-edge real estate research, including the development of AI-led predictive models. This aligns with PropEquity’s ongoing work on building India’s first AI-powered conversational platform for the real estate industry, which is expected to scale globally in the future.
The Department of Land Economy brings extensive experience in executive and postgraduate education through its globally recognised programmes, including the MSt in Real Estate, launched in 2016, and the MSt in Climate, Environmental and Urban Policy, introduced in 2024. These programmes have played a key role in shaping real estate and urban policy leadership worldwide.
This partnership is being launched as part of the Department’s broader “Global Land Economy” initiative, which focuses on international academic and research collaborations with leading institutions and organisations.
Commenting on the collaboration, Professor Shailaja Fennell, Deputy Head of the Department of Land Economy, said the partnership would help broaden educational offerings and build critical skills for India’s real estate ecosystem.
Samir Jasuja, Founder and CEO of PropEquity, said that with Cambridge’s academic guidance, the initiative aims to create India’s most prestigious Real Estate School and Centre of Excellence, offering specialised, industry-backed programmes covering every vertical of the real estate domain.
